Louisiana Veterans and Supporters,

For more than 100 years, the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) has stood as an unwavering champion for our nation's veterans—and here in Louisiana, your voice has been instrumental in advancing this critical mission. Today, we're excited to share important updates that will make your advocacy even more secure and effective.

Enhanced Security for Enhanced Impact

DAV's Commander's Action Network (DAV CAN) has recently received significant security improvements designed to better protect your personal information while ensuring your messages continue to reach Louisiana's lawmakers with maximum impact. These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to safeguarding your privacy while amplifying your voice in the halls of power—from Baton Rouge to Washington, D.C.

What Louisiana Advocates Can Expect

When you receive your next DAV CAN Alert, you'll notice a streamlined process designed with your security in mind:

One-Time Annual Setup: You'll be prompted to reconfirm your contact information, including your first name, last name, address, and email. Once completed, this information will be securely stored for 365 days—meaning you won't need to reenter it for an entire year.

Important Notes for Louisiana Supporters:

  • Browser Settings Matter: If you clear your browser's cache or cookies, you may need to reenter your information sooner, as this resets your session data

  • New Devices Welcome: Using a new browser or device? You'll simply need to reenter your contact information to ensure secure access

Your Voice Matters More Than Ever

Louisiana's veterans deserve representatives who understand the unique challenges facing our community—from hurricane recovery assistance to healthcare access at our VA medical centers in New Orleans, Alexandria, and Shreveport. With these DAV CAN improvements, your advocacy letters and calls will continue reaching Louisiana's congressional delegation with the security and reliability our mission demands.

Whether we're fighting for disability compensation, veteran healthcare improvements, or support for military families across Louisiana, your participation in DAV CAN ensures that lawmakers hear directly from the people who matter most—veterans, their families, and supporters like you.

Continuing the Fight Together

We're grateful to have you in this fight alongside us. Every email sent, every call made, and every letter delivered through DAV CAN helps secure the benefits and support that Louisiana's disabled veterans have rightfully earned through their service and sacrifice.

These security enhancements ensure that your advocacy remains protected, impactful, and ready to meet the challenges ahead. Together, we'll continue building a stronger future for Louisiana's veterans and their families.

Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to Louisiana's veteran community.
