Today's Word

It’s easy to believe that God will bless us when we’re doing what’s right and making good choices. But the beauty of the mercy of God is that even when we make mistakes, when we’ve done the wrong thing, He doesn’t say, “Too bad. You had your chance, but you blew it. Now you’re on your own.” No, His mercy covers you. His mercy is bigger than any mistake. He is not holding that against you. God will not only help bring you out of the trouble, He’ll help clean up the mess and cause something good to come out of it. If this is going to happen, you can’t sit around feeling guilty, condemned, and beating yourself up because of past mistakes. It takes a boldness to believe that God will bless you in spite of what you’ve done. The accuser will say, “You made the mess. You went the wrong way. God’s not going to listen to you. Who do you think you are?” Answer back, “I am a child of the Most High God. I am redeemed, forgiven, covered by mercy.”

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You that You are rich in mercy, and nothing is too hard for You to work out in my life. Thank You that You never give up on me when I’ve gone my own way and failed. Help me to hear Your word and simply believe that You will work wonders for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
